The Youth Participatory Budget (OPJ) promotes democratic participation among students in the Municipality of Cascais, encouraging them to submit ideas and vote for the projects they would like to see funded through the municipal budget.

The programme develops active citizenship skills and supports initiatives that contribute to improving schools and the wider community.

Each participating school receives a share of the allocated budget to implement the winning projects. Proposals with an impact beyond the school community may be incorporated into the Cascais Participatory Budget.
