The Estoril School of Hospitality and Tourism campus has a new Technology Based Incubation Centre (CIBT). Spread over three floors, equipped with office space and research laboratories, its purpose is to support the creation and training of new business models for the tourism sector.
Carlos Carreiras, mayor of Cascais, spoke of the importance of human resources and "the ability to attract, retain and develop talent, competence, creativity and knowledge" in favour of technology. In his speech, he also appealed to the Minister of Economy, Pedro Reis, for the tourism school located in the municipality to be ranked among the best in the world, "it's a legacy I'd like to leave".
