Terras de Cascais
Terras de Cascais is a project of Environment & Energy - Cascais Smart City

"Terras de Cascais" programme began in 2009 with the creation of the first community vegetable gardens, mainly run by citizens and associated with training and promoting land use in an urban context, based on organic farming.
This concept has progressively extended its intervention to include schools, residents' associations, day care centres and prisons.

This includes the "Banco de Terras" (land bank) platform, which aims to create a community of people interested in this issue, providing information about private land available for cultivation and people interested in its cultivation, thus promoting soil regeneration and counteracting land neglect.
