Another decisive step has been taken to leverage innovation, training and the promotion of health and well-being, consolidating Cascais as a centre of reference in these areas. The approval of the future facilities for the Centre for Innovation in Global Health, located in Alcabideche, took place at the Town Hall Meeting, with the transfer of a building to the New University of Lisbon.

This vision is part of the municipality's strategy to attract knowledge and promote Cascais as a centre of knowledge. The municipality has been making efforts to stimulate and cooperate with university institutions of high merit, with the aim of promoting education and the economic synergies that result from it, raising the profile of the municipality for its good practices and bets on the future.
