IRec
iRec is a project of Environment & Energy - Cascais Smart City
Launched in January 2021, this project collected more than 1 million bottles in 15 deposit machines, distributed among several supermarkets and the Village Market. Of the million packages collected, about 62% are PET plastic, 27% glass and 11% cans.
An innovative pilot project initially developed by Cascais Ambiente in partnership with the Nova School of Business and Economics (SBE), challenges all consumers to return empty beverage containers and insert them, once again, in the production cycle of new packaging or products, receiving benefits through CityPoints.
