Mercado da Vila
Mercado da Vila is a project of Economy & Innovation - Cascais Smart City
The Village Market dates back to 1952, and remains the center of the popular market. In 2013, the renovation of this cultural and economic center made it more than just a place of passage.
It is adapted to the demands of new consumers, and combines attractive partners and projects, gaining a new centrality (thematic markets and cultural events take place throughout the year).
Visitors can now enjoy markets during week days or at weekends (when they also find handicraft fairs), not forgetting the fishmonger, the butcher, and the florists.
Here, visitors can also have a meal in the restaurant area or sign up for one of the many activities in the Cascais Food Lab.
